A new venue in the ever growing number of ‘Filling Station’ monthly meetings throughout the UK opened its doors on Friday 12th January. The ‘Ouse Valley Filling Station’ is situated on the Suffolk / Norfolk border with meetings taking place in Garboldisham Village Hall.
These monthly mid-week evening ‘celebration’ meetings held in non-church venues have seen Christian communities grow in depth and number where a ‘Filling Station’ has opened. Each ‘Filling Station’ offers high quality speakers and teachers, contemporary sung worship, and powerful, accessible prayer ministry.
The launch night of the ‘Ouse Valley Filling Station’ was a great success. I was given a very
warm and friendly welcome at the door and made to feel ‘at home’ straight away. It was
obvious that a lot of prayer and planning had gone into setting up a team, venue, and
programme for this latest ‘Filling Station’.
The refreshments were beautifully presented. I thought that I made good sausage rolls, but
the ones on offer here were in a league of their own ! They alone are worth going again for!
A good number of about 60 people from different churches gathered for this launch night.
After a time of worship led by the ‘band’, Hellie Brunt, ‘Filling Stations’ regional consultant
for the Midlands, gave the talk which was practical, inspiring and Biblically rooted. It was a
challenge to us all. The evening closed with prayer ministry and worship.
The next meeting takes place on Friday 9th February at 7pm in Garboldisham Village Hall,
Church Road, Garboldisham, Diss, IP22 2SE. The speaker will be Richard Fothergill. For
