Clare Priory has been hosting its Craft Fair since 1993. Taking place on the second full weekend in July, this event has grown steadily to become very popular, and now receives around 10,000 visitors over the two days.
Exhibitors and visitors alike greatly appreciate the unique atmosphere and setting of the Priory, and many have become familiar friends as they return year after year. All proceeds go to charity, and the organisers and helpers are all unpaid volunteers who give their time freely and generously.
With around 130 exhibitors and over 160 stalls there is something for everyone. Crafts on display include woodwork, iron work, decoupage, felt making, pyrography, prints, flowers, wool spinning, textiles, art and sculpture in various materials, pottery, jewellery, photography, artisan food and drink.
There is a licensed bar and live music. For children there will be Punch & Judy, face painting, a magician and a daily children’s raffle.
