Talitha Koum is a charity with a Christian ethos, providing services to vulnerable women in Suffolk. We do this through supported housing at our Hope Centre, in an attractive rural location and in our three Women Together community-based recovery groups, which meet weekly in different parts of Ipswich to support women with addiction issues.
We are looking for a manager with experience of working with vulnerable adults in the delivery of services, preferably including the voluntary sector. She will oversee the services provided in the two main areas of our operation and work closely with (and occasionally covering for) the two managers directly responsible. She will have leadership skills and be able to relate readily to residents and clients, and volunteers. A key aspect of the role is acting as a focal point for TK’s work, establishing and maintaining positive engagement with supporters, funders, local Churches, charities working in similar areas and other stakeholders. Other main responsibilities will include external communications, working with the trustees, and oversight of finance and management processes.
There is an occupational requirement for the postholder to be female and to be a committed Christian. She will need to hold a current driving licence and enhanced DBS clearance.
The person appointed will work 20 hours, probably over four days a week. She will need to be available as needed for evening appointments and for occasional out of hours working.
Salary negotiable around £18k for a 20 hour week depending on experience.
Applications should be made on the downloadable form to Michael Clark, Chair of Trustees by 28th January at email@example.com A job description and person specification is available on our website www.talithakoum.org.uk
