A new 6 week bible based training course has been announced by the Suffolk School of Christian Studies. These free sessions run every other month from January, are open to anyone wanting to better understand, teach and study the Bible as one connected story, which ultimately points us to Jesus.
Suffolk School of Christian Studies is a training programme that has come from a group of Pastors and leaders who meet each month in Framlingham. We are thoroughly evangelical and committed to keeping the Bible at the heart of our ministries. They are passionate about equipping God’s people to more effectively understand and communicate God’s Word in their local context and this is the reason for the Suffolk School of Christian Studies.
Having run an initial two-year training course, SSOCS now exists as a bi monthly fellowship for members of local churches who want to meet together to deepen their grasp of theology and the Bible and be equipped for ministry in the local church.
The programme involves two 1 hour teaching sessions, with a 30 minute break for pastries and coffee in between!
The sessions for 2019 focus on seeking to develop a better understanding of humanity in relation to God, as created in His image. Looking to enlarge our thinking about God’s plan of salvation as we consider the fall and its consequences and the roots of our salvation in the call of Abraham – the original father of the new humanity.
