The speaker at the upcoming AGM of the Quiet Waters Christian Retreat House on the Norfolk/Suffolk border is Rev Peter Langford, the retired Beccles vicar who, last year at age 85, cycled from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise money for charities.
On Saturday, 6 April, 2.30pm-4pm the trustees of Quiet Waters,the Christian Retreat House on the Norfolk / Suffolk border near Bungay will hold its AGM.
The afternoon will include praise, prayer and thanksgiving for God’s faithfulness over the past year followed by refreshments.
The speaker for the afternoon will be Revd Peter Langford, the retired Beccles vicar
who, last year at age 85, cycled 1147km over 26 days from Land’s End to John O’Groats
raising over £11,000 for Médecins Sans Frontières (UK), the Friends of St Michael’s Beccles
and Ringsfield Hall Trust.
The Quiet Waters Team said, “Peter has had a long association with the house and we’re delighted he can join us. This is a great way to thank the Lord for his faithfulness and look forward to the future of Quiet Waters.”
