Going over the edge to end poverty abseil

On Saturday, 20 July people will be abseiling down the 110 ft high tower of St Mary’s Church in Redenhall on the border of Suffolk and Norfolk to raise money for Christian Aid. The challenge is out for people in Suffolk to volunteer and have a go.

Julian Bryant, Christian Aid Regional Coordinator says, ’This abseil is a great challenge event for people to do something to make a difference to people living in poverty. When we have done this before, people have thoroughly enjoyed doing it and felt a great sense of accomplishment and there will be a souvenir photograph available for a donation.’

The minimum age is 10 years of age and there is no maximum age. In fact Christian Aid has had people in their 80’s doing this before. So please book in as an individual, couple, family, group and take part in this mini-adventure to make a difference!

The abseil itself is managed by a specialist company which has conducted many of these events.
