Disability inclusion is not an ‘add-on’ to the Gospel, it IS the Gospel!
A FREE 2-hour workshop – led by Annette and Carol from Through the Roof, the Christian disability charity, at Holy Trinity Church Hall, Back Hamlet, Ipswich, IP38AJ – Saturday 15 November 9am for a 9:15am start till 11:30am. This training is for anyone who wants any of the following:
- To see how your church can break down some of the barriers that may prevent disabled people from fully taking part in church life
- To learn from Jesus’ approach to disabled people
- Support for all roles within your church – people involved in leading, teaching, welcoming, children’s work, audio visuals, property, website, small groups, pastoral work… Everyone!
- Essential information from a national Christian disability charity.

We would love to encourage you to join the Suffolk Roofbreaker network. The aim and purpose of the network is to enable:
ï local Roofbreakers (local church disability champions) to be more confident in disability ministry and mission
ï more Christians to be involved in disability ministry and mission
ï new disability ministry and mission activity in churches
ï more disabled people participating and using their gifts in church life
ï reduced instances of disabled people not being welcomed in church life.
We have our first Roofbreaker meeting on Tuesday 14th October between 10:30-11:30am at Holy Trinity Church Hall, Back Hamlet, Ipswich, IP38AJ. Annette from the Through the Roof charity will join us to talk about Through the Roof and help us to envision what the Suffolk Roofbreaker network might look like.
