Lark Rise Retreats invites you to their retreat day based on Luke 8.40 – 56, led by Rev Helen Rengert at St Edmunds Church, Langer Rd, Felixstowe on Saturday 9 May.
The retreat day will utilise liturgy from the Northumbria Community related to being on the margins and there will be time for reflection and journaling as well as guided input. The two in one story which the day will focus on are the woman with uncontrolled bleeding and Jairus Daughter from Luke’s Gospel.
We will weave into the story the importance of faith at the edge and how Jesus is always attentive towards us. We will also talk about unanswered prayer and waiting.
This will hopefully give us all an opportunity to ‘lean on the breast of Jesus to hear the heartbeat of God’
St Edmund’s Chapel a street away from the beach gives us an opportunity to come to the edge of the shore line (as we are able) for reflection, meditation and closing liturgy (as the weather allows).
The day costs £27 per person, runs from 10am to 4pm and includes refreshments, cake and lunch. It will be led by Revd Helen Rengert at St Edmunds Church, Langer Rd, Felixstowe IP11 2HL.
