Voluntary trustees are needed by the Adam Outreach Project, a Christian charity offering supportive housing for those affected by addiction, mental health challenges and homelessness, based in Lowestoft.
The Project’s Christian ethos guides everything it does, inspiring care, support, housing and walking alongside people on their journey to recovery. At the heart of its work is the belief that every life has value and purpose, and the Adam Outreach Project seeks to impact lives by encouraging a personal relationship with God and supporting individuals to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
The Project is looking for new Trustees, who are practicing Christians, to join the existing board of five Trustees. Ideally, the Trustees should live within a reasonable travelling distance of Lowestoft.
The Trustees meet four times a year in Lowestoft, and we there are also two Vision days that will usually be in East Anglia. The trustees would particularly like to strengthen its expertise in personnel, media and communications, fund raising, finance and regulated housing, but applications are welcomed from anyone who feels committed to this work.
All reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed although the position is unpaid. As the trustees are responsible for Adults at Risk, a DBS check will also be arranged.
You can find more details of the Adam Outreach Project on its website at www.adamoutreach.org.uk. Its charity number is 1117871.
