Empowered – Lord Bless Ipswich (online event)

May 31 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

‘Empowered – Lord Bless Ipswich’ will be live premiered on Sunday 31st May at 7pm

Church Leaders have been working on the event for the past few weeks. It will include worship led by four different Churches as well as prayers, visuals and short messages from Churches across the town. Pastor Harold Afflu from Ipswich International Church explained, “Pentecost is here again, except this year it is different! We find ourselves in lock down!”

With the theme of the evening ‘Lord Bless Ipswich’, Pastor Harold goes on to explain, “Almost 2000 years ago Jesus told his disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they received the Father’s Promise – the Holy Spirit. He told them that they would receive power to witness to all about the resurrected Christ after the Spirit came upon them. They obeyed, and as they prayed with one accord, the Holy Spirit came and they were filled! From that day, starting from Jerusalem and reaching to the ends of the earth, they and then their disciples preached about Jesus.”

“Here in Ipswich as we remember such an important time in the birth of the Church, may we also with one accord seek for a fresh filling and a mighty harvest in the Kingdom of God. Let’s celebrate together!”

The Live Premier will be hosted at https://networksuffolk.online.church/ and it is anticipated will include…
  • Acts 2 reading from Bishop Mike and children at St Matthew’s
